In August 2006, Chris joined the highly respected & award winning Laing + Simmons team. Chris is certainly no stranger to the Sales Industry. Prior to starting with Michelle & Michael at Laing + Simmons, Chris had been General Manager of Bob Todd Motors in Port Macquarie, a position he held for the later part of his 13 years in the Motor Industry. His experience in the car industry has afforded him a wealth of knowledge & skills in sales, marketing, interpersonal relationships & management, which he now brings to his position at Laing + Simmons.

Chris can certainly be regarded as a 'local', having lived in Port Macquarie for over 20 years. He was born & raised however, in the south western town of Cowra, before coming to Wauchope in 1981, where he completed his school education.

Chris started his career as a Chef. Many may remember Sonny's, the enormously successful 1920's themed restaurant in the Garrison Building, which Chris owned along with his brother Michael. In 1988 Chris decided to sell the restaurant & moved to the Gold Coast, where he owned & opened another successful small business. Eighteen moths later, unable to resist the lure of home, he sold up & returned to Port Macquarie. At the time, Chris accepted a job at Cassegrain Vineyard running the winery's restaurant & later also managing the 'Cellar Door'.

A totally different direction was to follow when he joined Bob Todd, his father-in-law, in his rapidly expanding business. Starting out in finance, & then onto sales, it wasn't long before Chris' potential was realised & he later rose to become General Manager of the dealership. With the decision to sell the 'family business' in August 2006, Chris was presented with the opportunity to fulfil a lifelong ambition; to 'have a go' at Real Estate.

Chris firmly believes though, that it is not really about what you're selling, but how you treat people in the process. His theory is simple "I offer people the style of service I like to receive myself - professionalism & honesty with lots of enthusiasm!"

Chris is very passionate about 'his town' & its people, & along with wife & fellow local, Kelly, loves raising their three children, Olivia, Abby-Rose & Callum in such a fantastic city. Obviously he still has an interest in cooking & he also enjoys a spot of gardening, V8 motorsports (of course) & spending 'time out' on the river with family.
